教育省（Department of Education）のアーン・ダンカン長官（Arne Duncan）は4月7日、教育技術局（Office of Educational Technology :OET）が「教育技術デベロッパーのためのガイド：デベロッパー、スタートアップ、アントレプレナーのための入門書（Ed Tech Developer’s Guide: A Primer for Developers, Startups and Entrepreneurs）」を公表したと発表した。本ガイドは、教育省がデベロッパー向けに作成した初のガイド（無料）であり、教育のエコシステムにおいて鍵となる質問に対処すると共に、学習用のデジタルツールやアプリを開発する必要性や機会についてまとめたものである。
