米国規格協会（American National Standards Institute: ANSI）は、安全かつ効果的な電気自動車の技術およびインフラを確実にしながら、大規模な市場化を加速することを目的として、電気自動車標準委員会（Electric Vehicles Standards Panel: EVSP）を結成した。そしてこの度、安全で大規模な電気自動車の導入及び関連インフラの整備を実現するための標準化ロードマップ開発に着手するため、関連の専門性や関心を持つ関係者の参加を募集している。目標は、本年中にロードマップの第一弾を作成することで、その初会合は5月17日に開催される予定である。
