エネルギー省（Department of Energy）は4月16日、エネルギー部門のサイバーセキュリティを支援することを目的として、2,500万ドルの資金提供公募（funding opportunity announcement: FOA）を発表した。本FOEの下、電気伝送・エネルギー信頼性局（Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability）の「エネルギー伝送システムのためのサイバーセキュリティ（Cybersecurity for Energy Delivery Systems: CEDS）」プログラムは、エネルギー伝送システムのサイバー対応力を進展させる革新的な手法の研究開発実証（RD&D）プロジェクトを募集する。受益プロジェクトは、①「サイバー対応アーキテクチャーの再設計：電力・原油・天然ガスのサブセクター（Redesign for Cyber-resilient Architecture – Electric and Oil and Natural Gas (ONG) Subsectors）」、②ONG環境向けサイバーセキュリティ（Cybersecurity for the ONG Environment）、③サイバーセキュアな通信（Cyberscure Communications）など5つの重要分野で産業の技術進展を推進する。
