エネルギー省（Department of Energy）の配電及びエネルギー信頼性局（Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability）は、2件の報告書を公表した。一つは、「米国におけるエネルギー貯蔵システムの安全性に影響を及ぼすコード、規格、規則の開発及び導入に関する概要（Overview of Development and Deployment of Codes, Standards and Regulations Affecting Energy Storage System Safety in the United States）」で、もう一つは「エネルギー貯蔵システムの安全性に関連したコード及び規格の目録（Inventory of Safety-Related Codes and Standards for Energy Storage Systems）」である。いずれもエネルギー省のエネルギー貯蔵安全性イニシアチブ（Energy Storage Safety Initiative）の一環としてパシフィック・ノースウェスト国立研究所（Pacific Northwest National Laboratory）が作成した。
