大統領バイオ倫理問題研究委員会（Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues）は、新たなエグゼクティブ・ディレクター（Executive Director）として、リサ・リー氏（Lisa M. Lee）が就任すると発表した。リー氏は1998年以来、厚生省所轄の疾病予防管理センター（Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: CDC）に勤務しており、最近は監督・疫学・実験科学局（Office of Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Sciences）で最高科学担当官（Chief Science Officer）を務めていた。リー氏はバレリー・ボンハム氏（Valerie H. Bonham）の後任として、4月9日から委員会での業務を行う。ボンハム氏は、退任後は国立衛生研究所（National Institutes of Health: NIH）の法務局（Office of the General Counsel）に復帰する。
