国防総省（Department of Defense）の最高情報官室（Office of the Chief Information Officer: CIO）は4月27日、労働省（Department of Labor）による全国見習週間（National Apprenticeship Week）に関する式典で、サイバー登録見習プログラム（Cyber Registered Apprenticeship Program: Cyber RAP）の開始を発表した。サイバーRAPは優れた次世代サイバーセキュリティ専門家を早急に育成するための画期的なイニシアチブであり、国防総省は、「学位優先」の考え方から、技能ベースで即戦力となる労働力育成へと積極的な移行を進めている。サイバーRAPは、2026年夏から試験的に開始され、12か月間実施される予定である。その特徴として、①構造化されたキャリア経路、②業界認定の認証、③修了後の直接配属、④継続的教育、が挙げられる。
