国家科学技術委員会（National Science & Technology Council: NSTC）は8月14日、「2021年度連邦サイバーセキュリティR&D戦略計画実践ロードマップ（FY2021 Federal Cybersecurity R&D Strategic Plan Implementation Roadmap）」を発表した。これは、連邦ネットワーキング及び情報技術研究開発（Federal Networking and Information Technology Research and Development：NITRD）プログラムのサイバーセキュリティ及び情報保証（Cyber Security and Information Assurance: CSIA）省庁間作業部会が2019年に開発した「連邦サイバーセキュリティ研究開発戦略計画（Federal Cybersecurity Research and Development Strategic Plan）」に基づいた2021年度実践計画となる。
