疾病予防管理センター（Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: CDC）は8月18日、公衆衛生の意思決定における予測・勃発分析の使用を進展させることを目的とした新たなセンターを設立すると発表した。新たに設立される「予測・勃発分析センター（Center for Forecasting and Outbreak Analytics）」は、次世代の公衆衛生データ、専門の疾病モデル作成、公衆衛生緊急応答者、高品質のコミュニケーションを結集して、意思決定者のニーズに対応する。米国救済計画（American Rescue Plan）から資金拠出を受けて設立され、①予測、②接続（コネクト）、③情報提供、の3つの主要な機能に焦点を当てて取り組む。
