国家情報長官室（Office of the Director of National Intelligence）傘下の情報高等研究開発活動（Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity: IARPA）は、「人工知能を支えるマイクロエレクトロニクス（Microelectronics in Support of Artificial Intelligence: MicroE4AI）シーディング（McroE4AI Seeding）」と題する広範な官庁公示（Broad Agency Announcement: BAA）を行った。本BAAを通じて、人工知能（AI）分野における米国のリーダーシップと国家安全保障の未来にとって重要な、より早く、よりエネルギー効率に優れ、より対応力のあるコンピューティング・ツールの開発に取り組むプロポーザルを募集する。
