エネルギー省（Department of Energy）のサイバーセキュリティ／エネルギーセキュリティ／緊急応答局（Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response: CESER）は3月18日、米国エネルギーシステムを、増大するサイバー及び物理的危険から保護することを目的とした3つの新規研究プログラムを発表した。それらは、①世界的に調達される技術の脆弱性問題への対処（Secure against vulnerabilities in globally-sourced technologies）、②電磁及び地磁気の干渉に対するソリューション開発（Develop solutions to electromagnetic and geomagnetic interference）、③サイバーセキュリティ・ソリューションに関する研究とその導入に必要な人材の育成（Cultivate research on cybersecurity solutions and new talent needed to deploy）の3件。
