アルゴンヌ国立研究所（Argonne National Laboratory：ANL）とテキサス大学ダラス校（University of Texas at Dallas：UT Dallas）は、米国における電池科学研究促進と重要鉱物サプライチェーン強化を目的とする覚書（MOU）を締結した。署名式典は。ANLのマテリアル工学研究施設（Materials Engineering Research Facility：MERF）において7月22日に行われ、ANL所長のポール・カーンズ氏（Paul Kearns）とUTダラス校研究・イノベーション担当副学長のジョセフ・パンクラジオ氏（Joseph J. Pancrazio）が署名を交わした。MERFは、本パートナーシップの下での両組織間での共同研究において重要な施設となり、ANL先進エネルギー技術局（Advanced Energy Technologies (AET) directorate）とACダラス校の「商業化・国家安全保障推進電池・エネルギーセンター（Batteries and Energy to Advance Commercialization and National Security (BEACONS) Center）」の研究者らが共同で研究に取り組むことになる。
