環境保護庁（Environmental Protection Agency: EPA）の「企業気候リーダーシップ・センター（Center for Corporate Climate Leadership）」は2月28日、気候変動担当幹部協会（Association of Climate Change Officers: ACCO）や気候及びエネルギー・ソリューション・センター（Center for Climate and Energy Solutions: C2ES）などと共に、第2回となる年間「気候リーダーシップ・アワード（Climate Leadership Awards）」を開催した。ここで、炭素汚染排出の削減や気候変動対策で優れたリーダーシップを示した23件・名の機関・個人に賞が送られた。同アワード・プログラムでは、「卓越した温室効果ガス管理：目標の設定（Excellence in Greenhouse Gas Management(Goal Setting Certificate)）」、「卓越した温室効果ガス管理：目標達成（Excellence in Greenhouse Gas Management (Goal Achievement Award)）」、「サプライチェーン・リーダーシップ賞（Supply Chain Leadership Award）」、「組織的リーダーシップ賞（Organizational Leadership Award）」、「個人リーダーシップ賞（Individual Leadership Award）」の5部門で表彰を行う。
