米国科学財団（National Science Foundation: NSF）の技術・イノベーション・パートナーシップ局（Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships: TIP）とSTEM教育局（Directorate for STEM Education）は、マイクロン財団（Micron Foundation）と共に、46件の教育者主導チームに約3,800万ドルの投資を行うと発表した。「NSF新興・新規技術における体験型学習（NSF Experiential Learning in Emerging and Novel Technologies: NSF ExLENT）を通じて、全ての米国民に直接的な学習機会を提供することが狙いである。受益機関は、人工知能（AI）やバイオテクノロジー、量子、先端製造等の技術分野で経験を得ることに関心のある個人に、現地での体験やインターンシップの機会を提供する。
