運輸省（Department of Transportation）は12月15日、2026年度の「開発を促進する投資のより良い活用グラント（Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) Grants）」を通じて、資金提供機会通知（Notice of Funding Opportunity）を発表した。国内のインフラプロジェクトに15億ドルの助成金が有用となる。運輸省によれば、BUILD助成金の審査基準として、安全対策の強化や米国世帯向けの交通手段の拡大を優先すると共に、①利用者の体験を強化すると同時に安全性や運転上の効率性を維持する適切な設計の輸送インフラ美化プロジェクト、②道路の容量を改善し、交通費用をより適正なものにするプロジェクト、③米国のエネルギー覇権を支援するプロジェクト等を優先付けるという。
