米国標準技術局（National Institute of Standards and Technology: NIST）は、「（サイバーセキュリティの教育及び労働力開発を）促進する地域同盟及び関係機関パートナーシップ（Regional Alliances and Multistakeholder Partnerships to Stimulate: RAMPS）」を設立するため、最高100万ドルの助成金を提供する計画である。RAMPSは、NISTが主導する「サイバーセキュリティ教育のための国家イニシアチブ（National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education: NICE）」を支援するものとなる。応募者は、非営利組織であること、少なくとも一つの指定組織（小中高校、地域教育機関（Local Education Agency: LEA）、大学など）が地域同盟への参加に関心を持っていることなどが条件となっている。NISTは5～8件のプロジェクトに最高20万ドル（15か月間）を助成する計画である。
