国立衛生研究所（National Institutes of Health: NIH）は、NIH共通資金（NIH Common Fund）による「ハイリスク・ハイリワード（High Risk-High Reward）プログラム」の受益者として81名を発表した。これらの研究者は、生物医科学や行動科学の分野で先見性のある研究の追求に取り組む。ハイリスク・ハイリワードプログラムには、パイオニア賞（Pioneer award）、新イノベーター賞（New Innovator award）、トランスフォーマティブ研究賞（Transformative Research award）の3種類があり、今回は順番に、10名、51名、20名が選出された。助成金額は合計約1億5,500万ドルとなっている。
